Britt Baker Calls FOZZY Deep Cut A “F***ing Banger”

Back in 2022, FOZZY released their critically-acclaimed “Boombox” album on the back of successful singles “Nowhere To Run,” “Sane” and “I Still Burn.” The album also features the hard-rocking “Purifier,” which has become a live staple, and a cover of the Frankie Goes To Hollywood hit, “Relax.”

One song that has been slightly overlooked, however, is the album’s excellent power ballad, “Army Of One.” At the time, this writer reviewed the record and said of the track: “Army of One” is an inspiring and catchy modern rock power ballad that provides a nice change of pace.”

Someone else who has taken notice of “Army Of One” is former AEW women’s champion Britt Baker. She posted a video praising the track via Instagram earlier this week.

“FOZZY fans this is for you,” Baker said. “We have been sleeping on a low key banger of a song that I just found last night when I was at the gym. I looked down, I was like ‘Who is this?’ FOZZY! Texted Chris, and was like, ‘Chris, where has this song been?’ Why have I heard ‘Judas’ 900,000 times but this f*cking banger we’re sleeping on? What is going on?”

She continued as the song played: “Like are you kidding me? Who would’ve thought?”

FOZZY frontman Chris Jericho shared Baker’s poster and replied: “THANK YOU to my friend @realbrittbaker for the thoughtful support of @fozzyrock and one of the FORGOTTEN GEMS in our catalog, ‘Army Of One’! She’s running a one-woman campaign in her stories to get this song out there further; we appreciate you, Britt!! #DMD”
