Body Of Shad Gaspard Found Washed Up On Venice Beach

A body was found washed up this at 1:30 AM local time near a lifeguard tower on Venice Beach, California, and tragically it has been confirmed to be the body of 39-year-old, former WWE wrestler Shad Gaspard.

As we reported earlier in the week, Gaspard had gone missing Sunday afternoon after being caught while swimming in a riptide along with his 10-year-old son. He would direct lifeguards to save his son first, and when they came back for him, he had disappeared underwater. Despite the U.S. Coast Guard searching 70 square nautical miles over 17 hours, he could not be found.

Gaspard was known to wrestling fans as half of the tag team Cryme Tyme, along with JTG, who had two runs on the main WWE roster, initially between 2006 and 2007, and again between 2008 and 2010. Following his release he would work sporadic independent shows, choosing to focus on his acting and writing career over pro wrestling

He is survived by his wife Siliana of 11 years and his 10-year-old son.
