Kenny Omega is currently suspended for his participation in the backstage altercation between The Elite, CM Punk, and Ace Steel. However, he is still in Japan, where promotional work has been underway for AEW’s upcoming video game. And now, an eagle-eyed fan watching his appearance on a Capcom TV live stream has spotted the bite mark on Omega’s arm, which Steel allegedly caused. And while details are still sparse, the belief is this occurred when Omega put Steel in a headlock or chokehold in an attempt to get him off Nick Jackson.
It’s understood Omega will be off AEW television until the conclusion of an investigation into the fight. And while no time frame has been made public, the fact The Elite was removed from November’s Full Gear pay-per-view poster seemingly indicates it won’t be rushed. Nevertheless, if reports are to be believed, Omega was not the instigator, and his priority was making sure Punk’s dog Larry was out of the room and then getting Steel of his friend. Which if is the case, should ensure Omega is allowed to continue his AEW career.
