Beloved Japanese Referee Dies Following Bear Attack

In truly tragic news, Katsumi Sasazaki, who is best known for refereeing matches for Pro Wrestling ZERO1, has died at the age of 60, leaving behind two young daughters. According to Rossy Ogawa who is the founder and booker of the Japanese women’s promotion Marigold, Sasazaki died after being attacked by a bear. According to a news report, the beloved referee, also known by the nickname Tiger Katsumi, was killed while cleaning an open-air bath, and subsequently, a hunter exterminated the bear.
