Batista Confirms His WWE Hall Of Fame Status

Batista was announced for WWE’s Hall of Fame in December 2019 and due to be indicted as part of the Class of 2020. Due to the ceremony having to be canceled because of worldwide events, he was never officially inducted. WWE has now announced plans to air the 2021 ceremony on Tuesday 6th April, and both the Class of 2020 and 2021 are now set to be inducted at the same event.

However, over this weekend, it was noticed that Batista’s was no longer included on WWE.com’s official preview page despite all other 2020 inductees being listed. Plus, every other scheduled inductee had a Hall of Fame logo on their superstar bio page, but Batista’s didn’t. Now, Batista has confirmed what was expected and that due to previous obligations, he cannot participate. Understanding the situation, WWE has agreed to induct him at a later date.

For many wrestlers, a WWE Hall of Fame induction is the pinnacle of their career, but Batista is now a fully-fledged Hollywood movie star. His film commitments will always have to come first due to the amount of money movie studies invest. It’s good WWE can accommodate him, and thankfully for them, they still have the NWO to headline this year. Hopefully, he has already blocked out his diary for the start of April next year.
