Ahmed Johnson worked for WWE for three years in the mid-90s and at one point looked like a potential future world champion. However, despite his memorable run, which saw him share a ring with names like The Undertaker, Vader, and Owen Hart, it doesn’t look like he’ll be entering the WWE Hall of Fame anytime soon. This is because during a new interview with Ten Count Media, he has put his former in-ring rival on blast, calling him a “racist pirate,” and claiming he was jealous of his push.
62-year-old Johnson, real name Tony Norris, broke into the business in 1989 and, after spending time on the indies and Japan, joined WWE in 1995. Almost immediately, he was treated as a big deal, with fans taking notice after he slammed Yokozuna. However, despite becoming the first African American Intercontinental Champion, he never became a legitimate main eventer due to injuries, family issues, and developing a reputation as someone who hurt his opponents.
