AEW’s New Video Game Trailer Doesn’t Feature CM Punk With Injured Star Also Removed From Cover

Four months ago, AEW revealed the front cover of their upcoming video game Fight Forever featuring CM Punk, Kenny Omega, Chris Jericho, Jade Cargill, Jon Moxley, and Dr. Britt Baker. However, with Punk being so prominent on the cover and seemingly on his way out of AEW due to his actions following All Out, new box art has now been displayed, with him omitted. This was demonstrated via the latest trailer for the game and has seen Sting, Orange Cassidy, MJF, Brian Danielson, and Adam Page added. Additionally, unless it is a blink-and-you-miss-it moment, Punk appears absent from the trailer.

Since AEW launched, fans have been clamoring for a video game, and while it has seemingly taken a long time, that is because the game is being created from scratch. With Japanese game studio Yuke’s, who previously worked on WWE’s SmackDown titles on PlayStation all the way through until WWE 2K19 working closely with Kenny Omega to ensure the best game possible. And while a precise release date has yet to be confirmed, pre-orders are available at all major video game retailers.
