AEW Star Set For Explosive WWE Return

It’s been known for some time that Big Bill was poised for a major return to WWE after his AEW contract expires, with sources confirming he will reunite with his longtime tag team partner Enzo Amore. And now Fightful Select has verified that WWE has been waiting for Big Bill to clear all remaining legal obligations before bringing the duo back together as a unit, rather than rushing separate deals. This strategic approach aims to maximize their immediate impact, leveraging their legendary promo skills and in-ring chemistry that once made them one of the most popular acts in the company.

Big Bill is poised to return to WWE, where he performed as Big Cass for a number of years. In addition, plans call for Enzo Amore to be signed by the company, though he wasn’t officially inked to a deal as of mid-June. The word from within WWE was that the company wanted to make sure to wait until Big Bill was free and clear and sign both wrestlers.” – Fightful Select

Big Cass, whose real name is William Morrissey and who currently performs as Big Bill in AEW, built his career on his towering size and charismatic tag team work with Enzo Amore. The pair debuted together in WWE NXT in 2011 and quickly became fan favorites with their high-energy promos and earned Tag Team of the Year honors in 2015. After moving to the main roster in 2016, their partnership ended in a dramatic 2017 split, and an ACL injury and personal struggles led to Cass’ unexpected 2018 release. Still, he successfully revived his career in TNA as W. Morrissey and later in AEW, where he captured the AEW World Tag Team Championship with Ricky Starks.
