During the early hours of Friday, the Guadalupe River rose 26 feet within 45 minutes, resulting in terrible flooding. As of writing, it’s understood that at least 80 people have tragically died, with many more missing, including several children who were attending a summer camp. And while there is very little the average person can do, Lance Archer of AEW has decided to use his fame to help those affected and, therefore, launched a GoFundMe, contributing $500 himself.
48-year-old Archer, whose real name is Lance Hoyt, is a proud Texan who began his wrestling career in the early 2000s on the Texas independent scene. Initially, he would work as Shadow and shared a ring with names such as Paul London and Rodney Mack. His big break would then come in 2004 when TNA signed him, and he began wrestling under the ring name Dallas, a further nod to his Lone Star State roots. However, he would ultimately compete under his real name after Diamond Dallas Page joined the company.
