Many fans typically consider pro wrestling news to be filled with negativity, with updates often featuring wrestlers getting injured or being let go by promotions. However, there is also good news, and in a perfect example of this, Denise Liguori, the long-term partner of John Silver, has announced on Instagram that they have gotten engaged.
Seemingly, the much-loved AEW wrestler popped the question at a restaurant on Tuesday evening, with Denise, who lists her occupation as both a pole dancer and an accountant, having accepted, playfully noting in the caption, “Locked in, can’t escape now.”
35-year-old Silver broke into the business in 2007, having been trained by former ECW and WCW wrestler Mikey Whipwreck. From there, he would work in the indies, gaining experience via promotions such as CZW, Chikara, and PWG, and even occasionally working as an enhancement talent for WWE. Still, his actual big break came in 2019 when he joined AEW, going on to become part of The Dark Order stable, which was prominently featured in the early days of the company.
