On Tuesday night, during an interview with NewsNation, Ronda Rousey accused Drew Gulak, who works for WWE as both a wrestler and trainer, of grabbing the string of her sweatpants when they were backstage together. Subsequently, Gulak would take to social media and claim it was an accident, and since then, nothing more has been said. However, during the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alverez revealed that internally, people within WWE expected Gulak to be fired, which, as of writing, hasn’t happened.
“It was Tuesday when this story came out, and there were people there that thought, man, Gulak’s probably going to be gone tomorrow. And he’s not gone today.”
Bryan Alvarez36-year-old Gulak trained at both the Chikara Wrestle Factory and CZW Wrestling Academy before making his in-ring debut in 2005. From there, he spent the next eleven years on the independent circuit before getting signed by WWE. And while he has rarely been prominently featured during his time with the company, he has held the company’s Cruiserweight Championship and 24/7 Championship eight times.
