Two AEW Stars Expected To Miss Significant Ring Time

Injuries are one of the worst things about pro wrestling, and while they will always occur, they are always disappointing to hear about. And sadly, it has now been reported by Fightful Select that both Julia Hart and Powerhouse Hobbs are set for a spell on the sidelines. Precisely what is wrong with both competitors isn’t clear, although Hart did hurt her shoulder in a match with Lelya Hirsch two weeks ago, and regarding Hobbs, it’s almost certainly the knee injury he visibly suffered while wrestling Jon Moxley on Dynamite.

“Fightful Select has learned that Julia Hart is again sidelined with an injury … Early indications were that Julia Hart would require surgery on the injury, although specifics on what it is aren’t known … In addition, Fightful Select has confirmed Will Hobbs’ injury, as reported by Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer. We’re told that it’s a significant injury, and Hobbs isn’t expected back any time soon.”

Obviously losing both these homegrown talents is a massive blow to AEW. However, the company has a vast roster, which will open the door for other talents to excel while Hart and Hobbs recover. Also, it’s possible that both talents will remain on AEW television in some capacity due to being part of the House of Black and Don Callis Family, respectively, which could allow them to stand in the background and look menacing.
