Trademark applications have become a way to see what wrestling companies are planning, and it’s been noted that on October 8th, WWE filed for both “Uncle Harper” and “Uncle Howdy.” Therefore, this has led to speculation that the names are related to a new Wyatt Family stable, with Uncle Harper possibly paying tribute to Brodie Lee’s WWE character Luke Harper. However, the Uncle Howdy reference isn’t as apparent, with it perhaps being a connection to the antagonist in The Exorcist franchise, who was referred to as Captain Howdy.
Assuming these applications are related to Wyatt, the next question is who will be performing as these characters, with fans on social media discussing the possible options. Subsequently, the names Vincent Marseglia and Bobby Dutch have been most commonly proposed since PWInsider.com reported that the duo was backstage at Raw this past Monday. And for those unaware, the pair are part of The Righteous faction alongside Tyler Bateman and Vita VonStarr. Who collectively have been compared to Rob Zombie’s characters in The Devil Rejects and do look perfect for the roles if they actually exist.
