There is currently a baby boom in the pro wrestling industry, with several talents recently welcoming children into the world. And now WWE’s Gunther has announced on X that he and his wife Jinny, herself a former performer, have joined them following the birth of their son. The delighted couple began dating when both performed in NXT UK and were married this past May.
36-year-old Gunther, real name Walter Hahn, broke into the wrestling business in 2005 and signed with WWE in 2019 after making his name in Europe. Since then, he has become the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion in history, having defeated Ricochet on SmackDown for the championship back in June 2022.
Jinny began wrestling in 2015, aged 28 or 26, depending on the source, having been the first female graduate of Progress Wrestling’s school. Subsequently, she worked all over the UK against names like Jamie Hayter and Toni Storm before signing for WWE in 2018. However, she surprisingly announced her retirement from the ring this past January due to injury.
