In March 2019, the Bella Twins announced on their E! reality show Total Bellas that they had retired from the ring. Brie would share the news on the March 10 episode, while Nikki announced it on the March 24 season finale. However, both have since wrestled in the women’s Royal Rumble match, indicating they hadn’t fully moved on from pro wrestling.
And now, after Nikki appeared on this week’s episode of Raw to seemingly build a match with Liv Morgan, TMZ has reported that WWE is also talking to her sister Brie about wrestling at July’s all-women premium live event, Evolution.
The 41-year-old sisters achieved considerable success in WWE and were inducted into the company’s Hall of Fame in 2020. Still, at the time, this was considered slightly controversial as neither had ever been regarded as exceptional in the ring. Yet, due to their ability to appeal to female fans, specifically via their appearances on reality shows Total Divas and Total Bellas, they undeniably introduced a whole new audience to the product, and thus their influence should never be underestimated.
