WWE Hall Of Famer Says He Won’t Be Watching Ric Flair’s Last Match Because Doesn’t Want To See Him Drop Dead

Ric Flair is set to hang up his wrestling boots for good if the marketing for his match on July 31st is to be believed. And while many wrestlers and fans are excited to see him compete one more time and go out on his own terms. Others are less enthusiastic, with some even fearing the worst possible outcome. Among those is Flair’s longtime friend and fellow WWE Hall fon Famer Gerald Brisco, who expressed his concern during a recent interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling. Going as far as to say he won’t be watching the match, which will be available via FITE, and that his thoughts and prayers are with the 16-time world champion.

He had gone through such horrific health issues the last couple of years. If you’re a friend, you don’t want to see a friend do that. You just don’t want to see it. I’m not going to watch it. I’ll probably get heat again when this gets out. I’m not going to watch it. I’ll tune into the internet, but I’m just not going to contribute by watching it. My thoughts and prayers are with Ric Flair.

He’s got a damn pacemaker and it worries me. I’ve talked to doctors and a certain bump in the wrong direction, or a certain chop or something like that, and that thing can dislodge and he can drop dead. I don’t want to see Ric Flair drop dead. I don’t want to be a part of that. I wish him well.

Precisely who 73-year-old Flair will be wrestling in his final match is currently unknown. However, the rumor is that it will be a six-man tag, allowing Flair to do his trademark spots while others work most of the bout. Despite this, there remain risks involved, although Flair has previously stated he has seen multiple doctors, so he is presumably healthy enough for what is planned.
