WWE Hall Of Famer Kevin Nash Likens Ladder Match To Forced Retirement

Kevin Nash hasn’t wrestled since 2018, and while he never had an official retirement match, he’s made it clear he has no plans to compete again, revealing on his podcast that he needs to use the steps to get into the ring. However, after a fan brought up his Sledgehammer Ladder Match against Triple H in 2011 on X, Nash replied by likening this to a retirement match, jokingly saying that being booked for a ladder match at 53 years of age and having had multiple knee surgeries, “it’s you’re retirement match like it or not.

66-year-old Nash debuted in WCW in 1990, but failed to get over with gimmicks like Oz and Vinnie Vegas. However, since he joined WWE in 1993, his career has taken off, with him winning the WWE Championship, the Intercontinental Championship, and the Tag Team Titles. This success opened the door for a big-money return to WCW in 1996, where he formed the nWo with Scott Hall and Hulk Hogan, establishing him as one of the biggest stars in the business and eventually earning two WWE Hall of Fame inductions.
