Following Hulk Hogan’s death, WWE has gone above and beyond to honor the deceased star on television and social media. In fact, even his most prominent detractors have decided to remain silent, appreciating that now is not the time to voice their criticism of him. However, WWE development wrestler Jamar Hampton has decided to speak out by sharing the infamous racist quote that ruined Hogan’s reputation, captioned with “Is this really who we should be celebrating? Do ya research.“

Almost as soon as the University of North Carolina Alumni posted this, he would begin receiving criticism for speaking out, although some fans would actually commend him for standing by his principles. Still, Hampton has since deleted the post, with it unknown whether it was his choice or if he was instructed by WWE management to do so. Therefore, it will now be interesting to see whether he continues to be featured on their EVOLVE brand going forward, or WWE decides to cut ties with someone so outspoken.
