While to some, WWE’s Hall of Fame may not be a big deal, to others, it is the ultimate honor in the business. And now, seemingly confirming she believes the latter, Bronwyne Billington, the daughter of The Dynamite Kid, has launched an online petition for his inclusion. The fact that the British wrestler isn’t already inducted may surprise some, as he is in the Canadian Wrestling Hall of Fame and the Stampede Wrestling Hall of Fame, however, WWE’s was previously chosen solely by Vince McMahon.
The Dynamite Kid, real name Thomas Billington, competed between 1975 and 1996, and at one point during that time, was considered by many to be the best in-ring performer in the world. This would see him become a star in both New Japan and WWE, although due to severe back and leg injuries, his career was not only cut short but also led to him requiring a wheelchair. Subsequently, he distanced himself from not only the business but also his family, and sadly died in 2018, on what was his 60th birthday.
