Why Triple H Missed This Week’s Raw Has Been Reported

In somewhat surprising news, Triple H wasn’t backstage at Raw in Nashville this past Monday night to run the television taping. Instead, Bruce Prichard, who himself is incredibly influential over the WWE product, filled in for him. And now PWInsider.com has reported that Triple H’s absence was because he was in Los Angeles alongside Nick Khan, working on getting Raw a new TV deal.

“PWInsider.com has learned from several sources in the entertainment and broadcast realms that WWE’s Nick Khan and Levesque have been in Los Angeles over the last several days, working on securing the media rights deal for Monday Night Raw going forward.”

In September, WWE issued a press release revealing that SmackDown was moving to the USA Network on a five-year deal starting in October 2024. Initially, it seemed that this meant the USA Network would be the future home for all WWE’s brands. However, it was later confirmed that due to how much they were paying for SmackDown, both Raw and NXT would be looking for a new home, with it since being announced NXT is headed to The CW network next year.
