Vince Russo Explains Why He Believes Talents Are To Blame For Being Stalked

Unfortunately, there have been multiple reports of talents having to deal with unwanted fan attention in recent months, some of which have even led to arrests. And now, during one of his many YouTube shows, Vince Russo has discussed this and placed the blame on the women involved, arguing that they made themselves “too accessible” on social media, thereby unwittingly encouraging this behavior.

“I got to put the heat where the heat has to be, bro, they’re making themselves too accessible. They really are. On social media, they’re making themselves too accessible, bro. You’re talking about wackos, and bro, if you’re coming across as this nice-as-honey person, down-to-earth, bro, wackos are going to think they got a shot with you … You know we live in a world where everybody wants to be liked, bro. They’ve got to stop. They’ve got to stop putting themselves out there. Now, I’m not making excuses for these freaking crazies, they’re whack jobs, they’re crazy people.”Vince Russo

The most well-known example of a fan getting too attached to a talent is when Phillip A. Thomas II was actually arrested inside Sonya Deville’s house while possessing a knife, duct tape, and mace. Initially, it appeared he may actually avoid prison after two doctors deemed him mentally incompetent to stand trial. Instead, the troubled man was committed to the Florida State Hospital, although since then, he has thankfully been sentenced to 15 years behind bars.
