Victoria/Tara Announces She Has Retired From The Ring

Former two-time WWE Woman’s Champion and five-time TNA Knockouts Champion Victoria/Tara, real name Lisa Marie Varon has announced her retirement from in-ring competition.

Her first WWE appearance was as one of The Godfather’s Hos before becoming an in-ring competitor and winning her first WWE title from Trish Stratus 4-months later. She’s also famously competed in WWE’s first-ever female steel cage match on an episode of RAW versus Lita in 2014.

Her plans to retire had been known since earlier this year. Varon had announced her intentions on social media and made promoters aware this would be their last chance to book her.

Her last match was against Melina at Masters of the Ring Entertainment on Saturday 21st September where she won the promotions woman’s championship.

What is next for Lisa Marie Varon isn’t known, but she surely would be an excellent choice for a WWE Hall of Fame induction.
