Jay White is one of AEW’s top stars, having built his name in New Japan; however, in recent weeks, the Bullet Club Gold member has only appeared on television via pre-taped videos. And now, Fightful Select has reported that the reason for this is because the Kiwi cannot enter Canada, where AEW is currently running shows, due to visa issues.
“Fightful Select has learned that Switchblade Jay White is unable to work in Canada due to his visa. He will be back in the fold when the company begins running shows in the United States again.”
Fightful Select31-year-old White is currently one-third of the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions in Ring of Honor, which is AEW’s sister promotion. Therefore, his absence from the ring is solely missed by fans of both promotions. However, with AEW returning to the United States next week for a combined Dynamite/Collision taping, it seems likely White will return to the ring sooner rather than later.
