Former WCW Wrestler Reveals He Has Lost The Use Of His Arm

In unfortunate news, former WCW and WWE wrestler Bill DeMott, also known as Hugh Morrus has revealed on X that he no longer has use of his left arm. The 56-year-old retired veteran wouldn’t go into details, but it appears to be an issue stemming from his over two-decade-long pro wrestling in-ring and coaching career. However, DeMott did say he intends to see a doctor, so hopefully, this issue could be fixed.

“its almost 10 years since I last stepped into a wrestling ring and……….the shoulders have given way to age and bumps. Finally told to see the Doc and see if I can get the use of my left arm back. I don’t like doctors but I can’t use my arm. #ToughEnough”

DeMott broke into the business in the late 1980s, initially using the names Big Sweet Williams and Crash the Terminator. He would go on to work for ECW in 1993, and this is where many fans got their first exposure to him. This would subsequently open the door for him to receive a WWE tryout the following year, although he wasn’t signed. Nevertheless, his big break soon came via WCW, who he signed for in 1995 and became Hugh Morrus, a name most fans remember him using.

Still, DeMott would get to work for WWE full-time once Vince McMahon purchased the WCW brand, and while never pushed as a star, he did establish himself as a trainer. And while he did have four years away from the company, he would return to be WWE’s head trainer in 2011. However, he resigned in 2015 after multiple talents accused him of bullying, although it should be noted that he denied this.
