According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, AEW’s Thunder Rosa appears set to leave Busted Open Radio as SiriusXM’s wrestling channel transforms into WWE Radio next week. The former AEW Women’s World Champion has been a regular co-host in recent years and a popular part of the show. However, it seems that featuring a performer from a rival promotion will become impractical under the revised structure.
“Thunder Rosa had been on the show but she’s not listed in any of the press releases and those close to the situation believe she will no longer be on the show. I would think given this would be a WWE controlled show that it would be impossible to keep an AEW talent on it.” – Dave Meltzer
SiriusXM channel 156 shifts from Pro Wrestling Nation 24/7 to official WWE Radio on July 27, 2026, creating a dedicated home for WWE content. Busted Open remains the daily flagship, joined by programs from Sam Roberts and Peter Rosenberg. New additions include exclusive live commentary for Premium Live Events, select simulcasts of Raw, SmackDown and NXT, plus popular WWE podcasts. While this offers richer immersion for WWE fans ahead of SummerSlam, it will almost certainly reduce airtime for AEW and independents.
