Backstage News On Randy Orton’s Upcoming WWE Return

Due to a severe back injury that required fusion surgery, third-generation wrestler Randy Orton has been absent from WWE television since May 2022. And while it’s known his operation was successful, his long-term career status has remained in doubt after his father, Bob Orton Jr., disclosed that doctors were against him ever returning to the ring. However, after he was spotted attending the WWE Performance Center several weeks ago, Fightful Select has now reported that both he and WWE are aiming for a return by Survivor Series on November 25th.

“Regarding Randy Orton, Fightful Select reported he was at the WWE Performance Center recently. He and WWE were targeting by Survivor Series for a return.”

After spending two decades at the pinnacle of the business, 43-year-old Orton is considered a pro wrestling legend by many. Notably, he has held a version of the world championship 14 times during this time, making him the third most recognized world champion in WWE history. Therefore, his return to WWE can only be seen as a huge positive, and it will now be fascinating to see how he is re-introduced, with multiple new feuds awaiting him on either Raw or SmackDown.
