During Wrestlepalooza, Jey Uso would accidentally bust himself open when the steel chair he hit Bron Breakker with bounced back and struck him in the head. This would result in blood loss and concern about Uso’s health. And now, according to Bryan Alvarez, WWE has officially placed the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion in concussion protocol following the match.
Concussions are one of the worst parts of pro wrestling, and Uso will now only be able to return to the ring once he passes an ImPACT test and is cleared by a doctor following an evaluation. Obviously, this is disappointing for fans who won’t get to see Uso perform for at least a few weeks. However, it is what is best for his long-term health, considering several careers have been shortened and even ended prematurely due to wrestling while concussed.
