On Tuesday afternoon, PWInsider.com broke the worrying news that WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler had been hospitalized since Monday. However, the wrestling publication didn’t provide any further information. Now though, Action 5 News has supplied a more precise update, confirming that the 73-year-old suffered a stroke and is currently recovering in the hospital following surgery.
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Memphis wrestling legend Jerry Lawler is recovering after having a stroke at his home in Fort Myers, Florida. Lawler, 73, has undergone surgery and is recovering at a Florida hospital. Lawler celebrated his 50th anniversary in the wrestling ring back in 2020.Action 5 News
