Anthony Ogogo signed with AEW back in 2019 and looked set for big things, given his Olympic boxing pedigree. Sadly though, things didn’t pan out for him since his much-maligned feud with Cody Rhodes. And since then, he has only completed sporadically, with his last match having taken place in November 2022. Therefore, many have anticipated his future could be away from the ring.
However, it has now been reported by Fightful Select that while there haven’t been any creative plans for the British sports star, he actually signed a contract extension in late 2022 or early 2023, which will keep him with the company until 2025.
Regarding pro wrestling, what’s next for Ogogo remains unknown; however, given his celebrity status in the UK, he is currently carrying out media work for All In ahead of this Sunday’s show. Additionally, it was recently reported by The Sun that he was signed up for the reality series Celeb SAS: Who Dares Wins, which sees content test themselves against the same conditions the actual United Kingdom Special Forces undergo.
