Last year, the estate for late Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison sued his former band for allegedly profiting off of his passing. The estate also sued for personal items belonging to Jordison that were still in possession of the band.
The lawsuit stated that, “the callousness of Jordison’s firing and other mistreatment at the hands of (Shawn) Crahan and (Corey) Taylor were widely reported and criticised by fans, and that it made no sense why the duo treated Jordison with such disdain, knowing his ill health and that he’d committed his life to Slipknot.” The lawsuit also claimed that Taylor and Crahan only cared about “drumming up publicity and sales.”
Now it has been reported via Blabbermouth that attorneys representing Jordison’s estate have filed a settlement notice bringing an end to the legal battle. Jordison sadly passed away in 2021 at the age of 46. He performed on the band’s first four studio albums and co-founded the group.
