Earlier this week, it was reported that former WWE wrestler Rick Boogs, real name Eric Bugenhagen, had landed a role as a Gladiator in Prime Video’s upcoming “American Gladiators” reboot, which The Miz is hosting. And now, adding to the show’s pro wrestling involvement, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed other wrestlers will also be portraying Gladiators, with AEW’s Wardlow and Kamille being the most notable names.
Both AEW have been absent from television for some time, with it believed Wardlow was rehabbing an injury while Kamille’s was related to creative. Still, it seems both should again be available to Tony Khan once “American Gladiators” filming concludes, and likely even more of an asset to him given their potential mainstream fame if the reboot is a success.
