Billy Corgan has been trying to build up the NWA for several years and recently secured a deal with The CW to at least air his flagship show Powerrr on their app. However, it now appears that whatever progress he is making could soon be hampered by the possible loss of one of his biggest female stars. That is because PWInsider.com has reported that Kamille, who held the NWA World Women’s Championship for a staggering 812 days and is the wife of Thom Latimer, could soon be a free agent, with her contract expiring at the end of the year.
“PWInsider.com has confirmed with multiple sources that former NWA Women’s Champion Kamille’s deal with the National Wrestling Alliance expires at the end of 2023.”
PWInsider.com31-year-old, Kamille, real name Kailey Latimer, has been with the NWA since 2018, when she debuted as Nick Aldis’ insurance policy. Since then, she has become a star in her own right and even appeared on AEW television in 2021 as part of the NWA’s working relationship with Tony Khan’s promotion, where she watched Leyla Hirsch and The Bunny wrestling each other to earn a title shot against her at EmPowerrr. Still, it isn’t known if AEW would be interested in signing her full-time, and she did previously have tryouts with WWE and was unsuccessful.
