Mercedes Moné, previously known as Sasha Banks, could have returned to WWE last year, but instead opted to become All Elite. At the time, this surprised some fans, and a rumor spread that in order to secure her signature, Tony Khan had to agree to add creative control to her contract, resulting in her being nicknamed “Mercedes Hogan.”However, it appears any fans worrying that Moné was planning to use creative control to secure the win over Toni Storm at All In need not worry. This is because Tony Khan has shut this talk down once and for all during a pre-show media call, declaring it “ridiculous” and stating, “I am the only person with creative control over the show.“

33-year-old Moné debuted for AEW during last year’s “Big Bu$iness” episode of Dynamite, similarly to how “The First Dance” was around CM Punk. From there, the former WWE star wrestled her first match for the company at Double or Nothing, defeating Willow Nightingale for the TBS Championship, which is a championship that she still proudly holds to the dismay of her haters.
