Tommy Dreamer Acknowledges Paul Heyman Saying “He Should Be Dead” On Raw

During this week’s episode of Raw, ECW original Tommy Dreamer was name-dropped by his former boss, Paul Heyman, who added, “I know he’s not dead, but he should be.” And now, during Busted Open, Dreamer has commented on this, claiming he had no problem with it, calling it “Just 15 more seconds of fame.

“He said, I know he’s not dead, but I should be. Then Bron Breakker had no clue I was still alive, but that’s okay. If your name is being said, and hey, I was trending #3, it was Raw, Bengals, and me, which was cool, I think that’s awesome. Just 15 more seconds of fame … I have no problem with my name being used like that or in any way.”Tommy Dreamer

At one time, Heyman and Dreamer were incredibly close, with the hardcore wrestler being his right-hand man at times. Still, once ECW folded and Heyman joined WWE, Dreamer felt betrayed and revealed that due to being in a very dark place mentally, he decided he would end the life of both Heyman and himself at WrestleMania 17. However, before the show, Jim Ross would call Dreamer, letting him know that WWE would be bringing him in, which thankfully averted tragedy.
