In the past, the pro wrestling business was very protective about who got involved. And now, during a new interview with Chris Van Vliet, former WWE announcer Todd Grisham has discussed the hazing he received as part of WWE’s past brutal locker room culture. In this, Grisham would reveal that after a prank rumor spread that he thought wrestling was “fake,” he was left with a bloody butt crack when Batista terrified him by pretending he was going to powerbomb him, having viciously yanked his underwear.
49-year-old Grisham joined WWE in 2004 as a play-by-play announcer working on Velocity and Heat. Additionally, he hosted shows like WWE Experience and Byte This!, and conducted backstage interviews on Raw. After departing WWE in 2011, Grisham joined ESPN as a SportsCenter host and has since worked for UFC and Glory Kickboxing, and is currently commentating on boxing matches for DAZN.
