Following his trade to SmackDown, Kevin Owens gave a digital exclusive interview to Cathy Kelley in which he acknowledged “a friend named Adam” who had just undergone surgery. Therefore, most assumed he was referring to his longtime friend Adam Cole of AEW, who recently broke his ankle in three places. However, it has now been suggested by @LuchaBlog that Owens may have actually been referring to wrestling fan Adam Lash, who unfortunately had to have a kidney removed on Friday.
“the “Adam” Owens was talking about was more likely Adam Lash (@newfoundmass), who had his right kidney removed yesterday due to a cancer diagnosis (and seems to be doing OK thankfully), but everyone seems to assume it’s Cole because a man can have only one Adam friend.”
@LuchaBlogUnless Owens directly addresses the comment and reveals who he was talking about, it’s doubtful we’ll ever know for sure who he was speaking about. Still, it shows that the WWE star has a huge heart and, despite his success, is still there for his longtime friends.
