The Garcia Twins Issue Statement Regarding The Vince McMahon Lawsuit Allegations

Vince McMahon resigned from TKO Group Holdings on Friday after disturbing abuse allegations were made public in a new lawsuit. Also implicated was WWE’s former Head of Talent Relations, John Laurinaitis, who is the step-father of the Garcia Twins, having married their mother in 2016. And now the sisters have issued a joint statement on social media where they condemn what has occurred. However, they noticeably do not mention Laurinaitis by name or their relationship with him.

“We are shocked and disheartened with the recent allegations against members of the WWE. It has been a lot to process since we found out this past week just as you all did. This is something we don’t stand for or condone from anyone no matter who they are. We want all women to feel safe and supported in the workplace and in their everyday lives.”

61-year-old Laurinaitis started wrestling in 1986 under the name Johnny Ace, and while he never achieved near the success of his brother Animal of The Road Warriors, he had a memorable career in Japan. Then, following his in-ring retirement in 2000, he began working for WCW in a backstage capacity, which led him to join WWE when McMahon purchased the company. Still, his time with the company came to an abrupt end after 21 years back in 2022 when he was fired after claims of misconduct against him and McMahon first went public.
