The Black Keys released a new album, “Ohio Players,” on April 5. The band, comprised of duo Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney, were due to kick off a North American tour that runs 31 dates through this fall.

However, all of those dates, sans one on July 6 in Chicago, have been canceled with no explanation from the band. It doesn’t appear to be a health-related issue, as the band performed on the season finale of “The Voice” earlier this week.

Fans are speculating why the tour got canned, with one possibility being low ticket sales due to high pricing. “The Black Keys just canceled their entire North American arena tour for this fall due to extremely poor sales (likely due to exorbitantly priced tickets — most markets were $100+ just to get in the building),” wrote a follower on X. “Whoever thought booking this band in arenas in 2024 should be fired.”

The most recent posts from the band via social media touted their appearance on “The Voice,” which aired on Tuesday, May 21. The band performed the album’s lead single,” Beautiful People (Stay High).”

The Black Keys formed in 2001 in Akron, Ohio, and have won several Grammy Awards and have received heaps of critical acclaim for their blues rock sound.
