Swerve Strickland Reveals Who His PPV Ring Gear Was A Tribute For

Saturday night’s Full Gear pay-per-view saw Swerve Strickland and Adam Page put on an incredibly memorable Texas Death match featuring glass, staples, barbed wire, and plenty of blood. And now, following the gruesome bout, Strickland has taken to his Instagram Stories to reveal that the ring gear he wore was in tribute to the recently deceased Bray Wyatt, who he knew from his time in WWE.

Ever since his tragic death by heart attack back in August, countless wrestlers have paid tribute to Wyatt in their own way, showing how much he meant to those who had the privilege of knowing him. These include multiple tattoos, and Alexa Bliss has even gone as far as to give her daughter the middle name of Rouge, which is the French word for red, in reference to Wyatt’s promo where he would say, “I am the color red, in a world of black and white.
