Sting had one of the greatest retirement matches of all time earlier this year, which included his sons, Steven and Garrett, accompanying him to the ring and even memorably getting involved in the bout. Yet it did come as a surprise when it was reported that Steven, who dressed as Wolfpac Sting on the night, had begun training with Darby Allin to become a pro wrestler himself.
And now, having worked just two indie matches, those in attendance have disclosed that before this week’s Winter is Coming-themed episode of Dynamite, the 33-year-old officially made his AEW debut under the name Steven Borden, defeating Kieran Gray in a dark match.

The road for second-generation wrestlers is rarely smooth, as for every Cody Rhodes, Bret Hart, or Charlotte Flair who reached the top, there’s a David Sammartino, Scott Putski, or David Flair who never quite broke through. That said, if Sting’s son inherited even a sliver of his famous father’s presence, timing, and natural charisma, he has every chance of becoming a star.
