Sting Reveals He Has A Plan For The End Of His Career & It Will Include AEW Original

Sting is one of the biggest icons in pro wrestling history, and while he has been a star everywhere he has worked, aged 63, his time in the ring has to end if he doesn’t want to become a shell of his former self. And seemingly, Sting is well aware of that, as while speaking to The Ringer, he revealed he has a plan for the end of his in-ring career and notes that his current protege Darby Allin will be part of it as he won’t wrestle any singles matches.

Well, I know Darby is going to be a part of it for sure. I won’t have a singles match at this point. Darby will be along with me and I’ll be along with him and we can add more to it as far as I’m concerned. But I have a few people and I really don’t want to say now.

Sting made his AEW debut in December 2020, a whole 19 years after he previously had wrestled on TNT when with WCW, and most fans thought he would simply be a nostalgic onscreen character. This is because it was believed he’d retired following injuries sustained during a match in WWE against Seth Rollins. Since then, though, he has competed over a dozen times alongside Allin after a cinematic match went so well. And while his matches are now typically part of the undercard, it’s hard to imagine that Sting won’t get one last hurrah in the main event when the time comes.
