Stardom Founder Announces Name Of His New Promotion With Its First Show To Feature Recently Signed WWE Talent

Back in February, news broke that World Wonder Ring Stardom founder Rossy Ogawa had been fired by its parent company, Bushiroad. A statement would claim he “poached many Stardom players and staff,” and it was later confirmed that he was working on launching a new promotion. And now, during a press conference overnight, it has officially been announced that he is launching DREAM STAR FIGHTING Marigold.

Additionally, it was revealed that the startup’s first show would be titled Marigold Fields Forever and is scheduled to take place on May 20 at Korakuen Hall. Notably, Giulia, who recently signed with WWE, will be involved in the show’s main event, teaming up with a mystery partner to take on former NXT talent Sareee and another unknown partner.

66-year-old Ogawa, a seasoned veteran in the wrestling industry, began his career as a ringside photographer for All Japan Women’s Pro Wrestling in 1978. His passion and dedication led him to work for the promotion in several roles. Then, having made his name, he became president of Arsion in 1997 before founding Stardom in 2010, which under his leadership, became arguably the top Joshi promotion in the world.
