A little over a month ago, Slipknot unexpectedly announced the departure of keyboardist Craig Jones.

“To our fans, Slipknot is announcing that we have parted ways with Craig Jones. We wish Jones all the best for the future,” the band said in a statement.

Slipknot would later delete the announcement and then posted a photo of a potentially new masked member, although some fans speculated that Jones might just be getting a new look.

Slipknot vocalist Corey Taylor said it took the band “a little more time” to solidify their new member. “It took him a second to kind of find his way,” Taylor said.

“Obviously, any time you have a change like that, it makes you have to kind of lean into adversity a little bit. We took a little more time to kind of figure things out. Obviously, [him being a] new guy. He’s good — really good. He’s a total musician. But it took him a second to kind of find his way. But now he’s killing it; now he’s really, really good.”

In a now-deleted Instagram story from Slipknot percussionist Michael Pffaf, it appears the new keyboardist is Zac Baird.

Board previously played for Korn between 2006 and 2016. He also played live with Ghost from 2017-18.  Slipknot has yet to officially confirm the news.
