Singer Of Toni Storm’s Original AEW Theme Passes Away At 47

AEW music producer Mikey Rukus sadly revealed that singer/songwriter Suzie MoJo (Suzie Monk Johnson), the singer of Toni Storm’s original theme song in AEW, passed away on Monday at the age of 47.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help the family deal with her unexpected passing. The page shared details that Johnson “was sleeping in the living room with her 2 daughters. She had been battling severe allergies and minor breathing problems when she started coughing and experienced a medical emergency. She went into cardiac arrest and stopped breathing.”

Her husband performed CPR until paramedics arrived, but her brain had gone without oxygen for so long that she showed no signs of improvement after more than three days in intensive care.

Rukus made an announcement on X saying: “I am saddened to learn that Susie Monk Johnson (aka Suzie Mojo), singer on Toni Storm’s Theme “Watch What’s Next”, has passed away.  Humble & kind, she was a local musician from my area. She leaves behind a husband & 2 daughters. My heartfelt condolences.”

“Watch What’s Next” is still being used in AEW by Mariah May after Storm gifted May her previous persona. The song and Johnson’s voice bear a strong resemblance to classic rock legends Heart.
