Shawn Michaels Reveals Who He’d Want To Wrestle If He Had Another Match

One thing wrestling fans love to do is speculate about dream matches, and while many of them never happen, it is still a fun activity. And now, during a recent interview, Shawn Michaels was asked about his own dream match if he was to return to the ring and wrestle a current WWE Superstar. With the two-time WWE Hall of Fame revealing that it would be against AJ Styles, noting they both have similar attributes, and it’s the match he thinks the fans would most want.

“I think the one we really want to see is me and AJ. That’s where I go with. It’s also as the more talent comes along, you start looking at them. I always, I still do it now. I look at it like, boy, I can do cool stuff with him. I can do cool stuff with him. But I think AJ, I think AJ and I can get similar styles and stuff like that. So I always feel like that would be one people would want to see.”

58-year-old Michaels retired from the ring in 2010 following one of the greatest WrestleMania matches of all time against The Undertaker. However, he would return for a “glorified house show” match, as he described it, eight years later at Crown Jewel for a reported $3 million payday. Still, the less said about the actual bout, the better, as it is generally considered one of the worst high-profile matches of all time. Although to be fair, Michaels didn’t embarrass himself in the match.
