Earlier this year, former WWE talent Fandango revealed during an interview that 60-year-old Shawn Michaels had told him he’s still got one or two matches left in him. Of course, whether this will actually lead to him returning to the ring is unconfirmed, although Kevin Nash has now revealed news that makes this seem doubtful.
This is because, according to Nash, who was speaking on his podcast, Michaels recently underwent back surgery due to the rods inserted becoming “twisted.” Additionally, it was noted that the two-time WWE Hall of Famer needs both of his knees replaced.
Michaels first retired from the ring in 2010 following one of the greatest WrestleMania matches of all time against The Undertaker. Yet, he would return for a “glorified house show” match, as he described it, eight years later at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia for a reported $3 million payday. However, the less said about the actual bout, the better, as it is generally considered one of the worst high-profile matches of all time, with Michaels recently saying, “The wheels fell off, and then it got ugly.”
