On Friday, Ozzy Osbourne called out rapper Kanye West for using a sample of the Black Sabbath classic, “War Pigs,” without his permission. Kanye apparently asked for “War Pigs” but ended up using a snippet of “Iron Man.”

Ozzy wrote: “@kanyewest ASKED PERMISSION TO SAMPLE A SECTION OF A 1983 LIVE PERFORMANCE OF “WAR PIG” FROM THE US FESTIVAL WITHOUT VOCALS & WAS REFUSED PERMISSION BECAUSE HE IS AN ANTISEMITE AND HAS CAUSED UNTOLD HEARTACHE TO MANY. HE WENT AHEAD AND USED THE SAMPLE ANYWAY AT HIS ALBUM LISTENING PARTY LAST NIGHT. I WANT NO ASSOCIATION WITH THIS MAN!”

On Saturday, Ozzy’s wife Sharon joined her husband in putting Kanye on blast.

“Kanye West asked permission to sample part of a song Ozzy performed live at the US Festival in 1983 permission was denied, however, true to form he used it anyway,” Sharon wrote. “The Osbourne family have never wanted any association with Kanye West. He is an anti-Semitic fool who spews his rhetoric out into the world , Kanye you f*cked with the wrong dude this time. Sincerely, Sharon Osbourne.”

Earlier, Sharon told Billboard about denying Kanye’s request. “We get so many requests for these songs,” she said. “And when we saw that request, we just said no way. The simple thing is, we don’t want to be associated with a hater. To spread hate the way he does, it shouldn’t be allowed. All the excuses — he’s bipolar or whatever — doesn’t change that. It’s like, f*ck you, basically.”

Sharon said that all four members of Black Sabbath would need to sign off on West using the sample. Kanye used the snippet in a song called “Carnival.” It was released late Friday night without the audio of the Black Sabbath track.
