Shane McMahon hasn’t appeared on Raw since Raw Underground quietly disappeared last September. Since then, his only WWE appearance has been at Survivor Series for the Undertaker retirement ceremony. Tonight though, Vince McMahon’s son returned to Raw at the show’s start and joined Adam Pearce in the ring. Shane would say he was there to make a blockbuster announcement about the main event of Elimination Chamber.
Shane handed over to Pearce, who announced that Drew McIntyre would defend the WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber. He’d then reveal he’d be facing five former WWE champions in Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy, AJ Styles, The Miz, and Sheamus.
As Shane was leaving, he seemingly recognized Omos, who was with AJ Styles, possibly acknowledging he used to be Shane’s doorman and bouncer on Raw Underground. Before Shane left in his limo, McIntyre stopped him, saying he’d have liked a heads up, as he thought he’d be facing his former friend Sheamus one-on-one at the pay-per-view.
