Vince McMahon recently turned 80, and to celebrate, he hosted a lavish birthday party in New York, inviting many WWE talents, past and present. And now, while discussing this during an interview with Bill Apter, former WWE Champion Sgt. Slaughter has revealed that cell phones were banned, seemingly to prevent photos from being taken and subsequently shared.
Following the alarming details of Janel Grant’s lawsuit becoming known, McMahon was forced to step away from the spotlight, with some believing he would spend his remaining years out of public view. However, having been spotted at the Super Bowl, a New York Knicks game, and appearing on TMZ’s recent Hulk Hogan documentary, it appears he no longer feels the need to keep a low profile. Therefore, some fans suspect he could eventually return to WWE television, especially after Brock Lesnar was welcomed back.
