The hit Netflix series “Stranger Things” sported one of its most viral moments in its fourth season when Eddie Munson (played by Joseph Quinn) performs “the most metal concert ever” in the dark, alternate universe of the show as he tries to help his friends vanquish the show’s villain, Vecna. Munson plays the Metallica classic “Master Of Puppets” as he sacrifices himself to a horde of demonic bats to save his friends.

Speculation that Munson would be back in some way for season 5 started last year with fans making a connection to the title of the first episode, “The Crawl,” with lyrics from “Master Of Puppets.”

Now, new set photos have emerged from the filming of season 5, showing Munson’s best friend and fellow Hellfire Club member Dustin Henderson (played by Gaten Matarrazo) standing next to Munson’s grave which has been vandalized by locals who presumably believe that he’s responsible for the many deaths caused by Vecna.

“Stranger Things” has killed off beloved characters in the past but the show usually brings them back in some shape or form. The teenage counterpart of Bob Newby (played by Sean Astin) showed up in the West End Production “Stranger Things: The First Shadow,” in which he was played by Christopher Buckley.

Needless to say, metal fans would love another metal moment featuring Munson in season 5. Set photos can be seen below.
